Patience is a virtue

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tom @ 12:24 am

Hey everybody,

With the latest round of information coming out of Microsoft, and HP on Windows Home Server, I know that there are some people that are upset, and confused about what is happening.

From the post on the Windows Home Server Blog @ Microsoft, Microsoft is working on updates for Windows Home Server, and HP has made the decision to include those updates into the product that they ship. I think for HP this is a good move, it will help to ensure the highest quality out of the gate for them.

On the subject of the x64 connector, the answer to that is that the connector is under development, and when Microsoft feels that they are ready, they will begin to ask for testers to begin to test the connector.

The 120 day evaluation should be available soon. There are lots of logistical things that need to take place for that evaluation to be made available.

Please be patient. This is a v1 product, and the entire team wants to see the product succeed and do well in the marketplace, and also ensure an excellent customer experience.

Thanks for listening!

  1. I think Tom posted this after my “Smoke and Mirrors” rant on the Insider’s newsgroup! Keep up the good work Tom.
