Tip of the day: Data Duplication

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tom @ 2:04 pm

With Windows Home Server, when you build a server with one drive at the time of installaion, duplication is turned off on all shares by default. This behavior stays like that even after you add more drives to the storage pool.

When you build a server with 2 or more drives at the time of installation, duplication is enabled on all shares by default, and when you add new shares, duplication will be enabled automatically.
