Idea for an Add-in

Filed under: Uncategorized — Tom @ 3:06 am

I’ve come up with an Add-in that I would like to see for Windows Home Server. The add-in would be a tab that was essentially the Performance tab from Task Manager. It would be a graphical representation of the CPU usage, Page file usage, how much memory was free, used, etc, and then a lower pane which showed the processes running on the server, and their CPU usage, Memory usage, etc. If anybody knows how to do this, let me know.

  1. The quick’n’dirty solution would be to use the Program Launcher add-in (http://www.danno.ca/blog/WHS+Program+Launcher+12.aspx) and add “taskmgr.exe’ to the list.

But a proper add-in would be nice.

  2. For the process list and the usage, there’s what I found: http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/processescpuusage.asp

    For the RAM usage:

And now somebody must write something to display it graphically 🙂
