Filed under: Uncategorized — Tom @ 9:00 am

Windows Home Server RC1 is ready. This is a major milestone for the entire Home Server team, and we are pleased to announce it’s availability to the beta testing community. If you are already a part of the Home Server beta program you can go to Connect and download the RC build right now. If you are not a part of the Home Server beta program you can go to (http://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsHomeServer/) and fill out the survey to join the program.

Please download and test away, and enjoy the release! 🙂

  1. Not sure why, but when I go to the download site it says that the main installation dvd.iso is too large (I’ve got 16gb free so i know it’s not a disk space issue at my end). However, clicking download anyway gives a file size download of about 1.4gb so it looks like it is downloading anyway (and at this rate will take 40 mins to download)
    Looking forward to this one!

  2. it’s dawned on me – the download link is “too big” because it’s too big to download via ftp/http – instead you have to use the file transfer program instead.
